In her article, "The Globetrotting Sneaker," Cynthia Enloe talks about the deplorable working conditions women in shoes factories face as a result of corporate irresponsibility. As I was reading the article, I started to think about how our economy always seems to prosper at the cost of someone else-- it is as if it is impossible to have a world where everyone has a fair and equal chance. Do you think that such a world could exist? Would our economies and governments have to drastically change? What would the implications of such changes be?
